Wow! This is an incredible article. I never saw religious life this way until now, and I won’t see it any other way again. I look forward to more posts! 😀
Thank you so much! Religious Life is such an incredible mystery! All the meditating and studying in the world can’t reach the fullness of its meaning! 😀
Thank you for sharing how God is leading you, Grace! I continue to pray for you as I pray for all my girls, for clarity of purpose and a passionate vision of how you will be able to serve our Lord. 🙂
Grace, this is so beautiful that I just wish I could reach out and hug you! What a special and chosen soul you are! Praise God for the graces He has strewn through your life, even as a child in the Protestant faith. I am so very happy for you, and will pray for you, especially when I am being Mary….during my hours of Adoration 🙂 How I love being there too, but for you, it will be your vocation. How glorious! Have you read St. Therese’s poem, An Unpetalled Rose? You would relate to it so well….the way the world thinks cloistered nuns are wasting their lives. Therese saw it as unpetallling herself for Jesus and tossing those precious petals beneath His feet. Her life would be for Him alone, and all the better if no one understood. If you can’t find it online, I will e-mail it to you.
I love, love, love The Trouble with Angels. I have the DVD and have watched it so many times. It is so funny and touching. I can see why it is a favorite of yours. Have you seen the Life of Teresa of the Andes….just beautiful. She was a young Carmelite. It is in Spanish with English subtitles…about 6 hours long. She was a mystic from an early age. This House of Brede is another “nun” story, as well as the classic, The Nun’s Story with Audrey Hepburn. Love the movie; hate the ending.
Oh Grace, I have such joy for you! I know you will have many people praying for you as you await the time when you can enter. Far from doing “nothing,” the nuns who pray and adore Jesus are holding up the world, as well as consoling His Eucharisitc Heart. God be with you, dear sweet Grace. Your name, it seems, is prophetic. Love and prayers, Patricia
Thank you! Returning the hug! Your soul is quite an amazing one also! Thank you so much for your prayers! Thank you for the recommendations. I have a lot of St. Therese's poems, but not that one. My e-mail address is iluveucharist@juno.com I haven't yet seen Life of Teresa of the Andes, This House of Brede, or The Nun’s Story, but I'll look into them. Thanks again for all the prayers, counsel, and flattery! Love and prayers to you too, Grace.
